When it comes to accolades, Franco stands apart. His not a member of This is Reportage awards nor has he won a single Fearless award. He probably doesn’t even know that those associations exist. Franco is just out there, doing his own thing and creating his own narrative.
Based in Sicily, Franco's work is a revelation – a force of its own. His book, "Il waltz di un giorno" ("The waltz of a day"), given to usby our good pal Fabio Mirulla, was unlike anything we’ve ever seen before.
Each and every image will blow your mind. His mastery in black and white photography defies the ordinary with vitality and depth and with an intensity to his story telling that will make you feel almost uncomfortable and a powerful sincerity that will stop you dead in your tracks.
