Ronan says it best himself when he says that he’s a wedding photographer, not just a bride and groom photographer.
His work is a beautiful reminder that we don’t just photograph weddings, we’re so privileged to photograph multi-layered, multi-generational family histories playing out before our eyes, an entire human story told in just one day. All life is here in Ronan’s stories, in all its colour and madness, beauty and humour. When you look at it this way, the job never gets old. Maybe that’s the secret to keeping your work fresh and new, hopeful and experimental (“A Shot in the Dark” anyone?) after 15 years of weddings. Whatever his secret is we’re here for it!
Also we don’t know anyone better with a flash or two (or 14 at last count!) so we’re selfishly hoping that rubs off on us a bit from the Doc Day stage.
